APPLE BOOKS REVIEW
One of the most famous—and embattled—royal figures in all of English history gets a deserved turn in the spotlight with this empathetic and in-depth novel. Kicking off Alison Weir’s ambitious Six Tudor Queens series, which fleshes out the individual stories of King Henry VIII’s wives, Katherine of Aragon follows the titular figure from her days as a teenaged Spanish princess to her pivotal relocation as the planned bride of English royalty. Nothing goes to plan. Soon Katherine is feeling the full weight of her crown, contending with a husband she didn’t expect and competition for his affection—all at a time when the country needs a truly unifying force.

Disappointing!
I was so excited for this new series, but unlike her previous novels and non fiction work it seems lazy. This subject has been done over and over... But she is one of the best! Hopefully the Boylen chapter is stronger.
