Publisher Description
In this sisterly PS, I Love You, an introverted young woman is saddled with fulfilling her late sister’s final wish: completing her bucket list while millions of people follow along online.
Jodie Boyd is a shy and anxious twenty-something, completely unsure of what to do with her life. Meanwhile, her older sister, Bree, is an adventurous, globe-trotting Instagram influencer with more than a million followers. Bree is the most alive person Jodie knows – until her unfathomable, untimely death from leukaemia. The Boyds are devastated, not to mention overwhelmed with medical debt. But Bree had a plan, and to Jodie's surprise a new post appears on her sister's Instagram feed.
The first of many posts Bree recorded in secret, it contains a jaw-dropping challenge for Jodie: complete Bree's bucket list. From ‘fly over Antarctica’ to ‘fall in love’, if Jodie pulls it off – and keeps all of Bree’s followers – a corporate sponsor will pay off the crushing medical debt. It’s crazy. It’s terrifying. It’s impossible to refuse. So, despite her trepidation, Jodie plunges in, never imagining that in death, her sister will teach her how to live.
APPLE BOOKS REVIEW
As a professional Instagram influencer, Bree Boyd is used to living her life in the public eye. But when she’s diagnosed with leukaemia and realises she’s on borrowed time, she tasks her withdrawn younger sister Jodie with living out her final wishes in front of her million-plus followers. To sweeten the deal, Bree has lined up a corporate sponsor to cover the family’s medical debt if Jodie can pull off these far-flung feats of boldness. Readers will welcome Amy Matthews’ deft handling of both the grieving process and day-to-day dramedy, as well as her insightful eye for family dynamics. And if the book’s central sisters seem like they couldn’t possibly be more opposite, they might just surprise you in the end.
PUBLISHERS WEEKLY
In this multiple-tissue contemporary romance, Matthews (End of the Night Girl) explores the bond between sisters, the role of social media in society, and the way medical debt can cripple an entire family. Jodie Boyd's family is paralyzed with grief after Jodie's outgoing older sister, Bree, an influencer, dies of cancer. Adding to the stress, they are responsible for her enormous medical bills. Jodie takes on extra hours at the car rental job she detests but then is offered a deal: agree to publicly complete the bucket list Bree posted on social media and Bree's Instagram sponsor will pay off the debt. Shy, passive, and social media–averse Jodie reluctantly agrees and heads to New York to take on the nerve-racking assignments—the most intimidating of which is "fall in love." Luckily, her high school crush, Kelly Wong, who abandoned Jodie at prom but whom she's always carried a torch for, reenters her life and makes that task a bit easier. Matthews creates myriad tear-jerking moments and puts a fresh spin on the somewhat tired bucket list trope. Fans of Josie Silver and Cecelia Ahern will be taken by this story of joy after grief.

Once I started I needed to go on the journey with Jodie. I laughed & cried, felt the grief & love that her family share. It was a fabulous book.

Amazing ! Couldn’t put it down
Absolutely gorgeous
Really beautiful, thoughtfully written and even though heartbreak was interspersed throughout, there was so much joy and love and normality to get you through. Highly recommend.
