Somewhere to Start From: In this anthology of twenty-two short stories, some published, some prizewinning, and some making their first appearance in print, an eclectic host of characters discover no matter where life takes them, it's only ever somewhere to start from.

Here are stories of redemption, revenge, and unrequited love. Relationships fail, new ones are kindled, existing ones shift and change. There are stories about gods, monsters, angels, robots, hellish hotels, body-builders and body-snatchers, and ordinary people just doing whatever they can to get by.

The collection includes stories published in print and online, in Writers' Forum and on The Guardian website, and stories that have won prizes or been shortlisted in a variety of competitions, including the H.E. Bates Short Story Competition, Brighton Community of Writers (COW), TxtLit, and The James White Award.
