A short read which touches on some good basic principles, however detail is lacking. Eg. Chapter three on "Remember What You Read".
Take the title of this book into context, you cannot teach yourself to do anything well in a week. While I acknowledge this, I found the details of this book lacking; in fact quite lazy.
That being said, there are some good basic principles to someone who has never looked into speed reading before and a beginner may find some lessons within the pages of this book.
I would suggest learning speed reading from another source.
