Publisher Description

I never forget my roots either. In my mind I'm still little

Brenda Swainston (stage name now Collins).

When I first arrive on board not many passengers know

me and so I'm 'wallpaper' but once I've been on stage I

become part of their holiday and I like that.

I still get very nervous because when I work at a hotel, I

go to the venue, perform my show which involves interacting

with the audience but then at the end of the night I go home.

When I'm on a ship I'm already at the venue and when I

have performed my show I, obviously remain at the venue

so it's very nerve wracking. Once I've performed my first

show I feel better because I then feel as though I'm that bit

nearer to getting to know the passengers.

I love it.
