Just typical. No love life to speak of for months, then all at once, every horny creature in the Otherworld wants to get in your pants...
Eugenie Markham is a powerful shaman who does a brisk trade banishing spirits and fey who cross into the mortal world. Mercenary, yes, but a girl's got to eat. Her most recent case, however, is enough to ruin her appetite. Hired to find a teenager who has been taken to the Otherworld, Eugenie comes face to face with a startling prophecy - one that uncovers dark secrets about her past and claims that Eugenie's first-born will threaten the future of the world as she knows it.
Now Eugenie is a hot target for every ambitious demon and Otherworldy ne'er-do-well, and the ones who don't want to knock her up want her dead. Eugenie handles a Glock as smoothly as she wields a wand, but she needs some formidable allies for a job like this. She finds them in Dorian, a seductive fairy king with a taste for bondage, and Kiyo, a gorgeous shape-shifter who redefines animal attraction. but with enemies growing bolder and time running out, Eugenie realizes that the greatest danger is yet to come, and it lies in the dark powers that are stirring to life within her....

Storm Born Series
Loved the whole series. I know it was aimed at young adult, guess I'm becoming a young adult again. I live in a small country town in Western Australia and the release date for some things can be held back like the ibook version of Storm Heir, until the hard copy is almost due for release. Therefore I had not heard of it and I was thoroughly engrossed, almost in the book type reading and the end of the third book snuck up on me and was jus t there. It was really strange I have never been quite that into a book before it was almost a physical what do I do now?
Just goes to show what a great author Richelle is. I was wondering, obviously I'm not the first one with this idea, if there could be a spin off series when the twins are older and come to the other side.
There is probably a trilogy already percolating in Richelle's brain even as I write or on the other hand that is really it for this terrific series. I hope not.

Inspiration
Richelle Mead is an awe inspiring writer who's work captivates her readers as well as that of her fellow comrades also. Mead's attention to detail is shown throughout this series, her passionate and strong minded characters only add to her already action packed tale. She also seems to share a connection to her supporters as she never fails to communicate a harsh reality somehow, intimately. Mead's Storm Born series intrigues the reader through the magical and supernatural but draws upon real life -the human world- to create a weight that shows a harsh reality of reality.
Richelle Mead's attention to detail throughout the entire series and every other piece of her work is never lacking. There is never a dull moment as she intentionally leaves you wanting more every time. From her vivid, panoramic descriptions of landscape in the Otherworld to the unbreakable ties with family and the realistic tests that friendship can withstand. You'll go to close on another chapter but find yourself almost mechanically turning yet another page. Mead's specificity brings her words to life as she paints the
Mead's attention to detail is passed on to her characters. The men are never disappointing but ever enthralling, mysterious and luscious. The women, they are powerful characters, driven, determined and alluring but also in a completely unexpected result, inspire strength. The trials through which they navigate only emphasize the character traits in which provide such an enchanting story. Every feeling from physical, emotional and mental is tested with these characters.
The point of writing is to communicate and communicate Mead does easily through her characters and to her audience. Whether it be to inform her audience that you can live your dream of supernatural through her, or to remind them that every character has a background, a story, such as every person reading her work. It is never hard to connect to any of Meads work as she magically creates intimacy between the writing and reader.
In the Storm Born series you will find there is a thin line between love and lust, the struggles of being torn between two cultures will forever be a foreboding shadow and strength is not only differentiated by muscle but by will.
