Publisher Description
Life is falling into place for National Parks ranger Erin Taylor. She has a job she loves, she's falling for her colleague, Simon - and she is finally leaving the past behind. Until a woman is murdered.
But the victim is not just any woman - she's Simon's wife, Hayley. The wife he's not mentioned to Erin. The wife he's not seen in fourteen years. On the edge of the national park, the alternative lifestyle 'Community of Bliss' denies knowing Hayley, but Simon and Erin suspect otherwise.
As Simon uncovers shocking details about the group, Erin is drawn further into their midst and finds a web of lies, decades old - and a charismatic, manipulative, dangerous cult leader who will let nothing and no-one stand in his way. On the wrong side of a river in flood that has become a lethal torrent, Erin and Simon must race to expose the truth and prevent a tragedy.
APPLE BOOKS REVIEW
We absolutely loved Australian author Bronwyn Parry’s nail-biting tale of a likable National Parks ranger pulled into a murder investigation involving her cherished colleague (and secret crush). Parry is a wonderful storyteller who uses meticulous detail to bring the mystery of the bush alive—and tease out an uncommonly suspenseful romance.

Storm Clouds
A great , well researched book. The first I’d read from this author and now I want to read her other books. I bought a sample and then had to read the whole book - couldn’t put it down.
Excellent read
Perhaps I am biased toward female Australian authors, however I am yet to be disappointed and that goes without saying for all of Bronwyn Parry’s novels. I often wonder the comparison to how long a book of this calibre takes to compose and the way as readers we devote as much time as possible to getting to the end to “find out”, even if it means reading until the wee hours. Living away from home I get such a buzz from all the “Australiana” incorporated into this book. The imagery is perfect and real, the characters believable and the story line flows unhindered. Awaiting the next novel is tough going!
