A clear, plain-English guide to this complex scientific theory
String theory is the hottest topic in physics right now, with books on the subject (pro and con) flying out of the stores. String Theory For Dummies offers an accessible introduction to this highly mathematical "theory of everything," which posits ten or more dimensions in an attempt to explain the basic nature of matter and energy. Written for both students and people interested in science, this guide explains concepts, discusses the string theory's hypotheses and predictions, and presents the math in an approachable manner. It features in-depth examples and an easy-to-understand style so that readers can understand this controversial, cutting-edge theory.

Interesting
I found this book quite interesting and informative, though being a physics student I can say that those without some prior interest in physics might not find much enjoyment or take much interest in the content of this book.
I would consider reading parts of the book again because of minor details I missed, but because of the complex nature of the subjects the book covers (especially considering they are being expressed in non-mathematical terms) I would not consider this a flaw on the part of the author.
One would probably guess this from the books non-fiction nature that it wouldn't be one to read purely for entertainment, but of course there is a clear subjectivity involved in that judgement. None the less, there is certainly a lot of aspects in this book that those with some interest in (but a lack of direct experience with) the ideas involved will probably find interesting and informative.
