Publisher Description
Succumbed to Thinking is a compilation of eighty-seven poems taken from the author's first works. It covers a range of themes including comic, nature, science, mood, and head-scratching surrealism. Snigger at the poor chap convinced that a couple of paint splashes were actually signs of life-threatening diseases in 'Hypochondriac' or feel sorry for the poor husband who's wife woke him from a steamy dream about Angelina Jolie in (would you believe) 'Angelina Jolie'. Alternatively, breeze through the countryside imagery in poems such as 'As I Ventured to the Wood' or 'A Swift that Danced on High'. Or if you enjoy a walk on the weird side, there are always surrealistic mullings in poems such as 'Me-Time Continuum' or 'Is This Poem Confusing ' Also included is a small collection of acrostics that covers words such as spider, drip, and hatred. The last two - and rather moody - poems are aptly named 'Goodbye' and 'The End.'
