A 100% fun blast from the past
For years I could have only dreamed about seeing new content featuring Christopher Reeves as Superman. In fact, like all of us, we’d never thought we’d see our favourite Superman ever again. But in this story, Robert Venditti and Wilfredo Torres craft a new instalment that not only nailed everything from the Donner movies, but at the same time feels modern. It’s a difficult balance to get right, but one that was work the three and a half decade wait, a legacy sequel that’s structured like the old budget limited Comic Book flicks of the late 20th century that embraces their limitations and revels in the fun and imagination of what superheroes used to be.
