Survivors
Publisher Description
Eight years ago, an epidemic devastated a highly populated city. The illness turned the people into mindless, flesh eating beasts that lumbered through the streets. The government quarantined the city and the neighboring areas not yet ravaged by the infection. They built a wall, entrapping both the ill and the healthy for nearly three years.
Now, five years after the discovery of a vaccine, survivors are desperately trying to reintegrate themselves into society. But even with the recent passing of the Plague Victims Protection Act, they are outcasts and still deeply hurting. Seven survivors - Clyde, Sara, Kyle, Mila, Nate, Alexis, and Joseph - attend one of the mandatory group therapy sessions. Each has their own story from the plague. Each has their own monsters from their days behind the wall. And each wonder if they really did survive.
