A quirky start to a relationship . Such fun and cheekiness . I do thoroughly enjoyed Riley and Colt finding there feet . Best book in the series to date .
Needs editing & factchecks
Firstly, I did enjoy the story and characters. However, there were factual and editing issues which irritated and therefore took away some of the enjoyment.
Editor did a poor job, I’m assuming it’s the editor as the author is a Kiwi and some Australian details are incorrect. Not only that there are various spelling, punctuation and grammar errors throughout to book.
For example, Chapter Eightteen”, so autocorrect was switched off?
In Chapter 14 it states that the population of Australia is 60 million, which is way off the correct figure. In 2026 we just reached 28 million.
In Chapter 17 one of the seafood items is called “Mortein Bay Bugs”, the name is Moreton Bay Bugs. Ironically, Mortein is a brand of bug spray🤣.
Also it’s not “Rubix Cubes”, it’s Rubik’s. Named after the inventor.
The thing I found most annoying was whenever the Australian character, Riley, was talking about/with her mother it was spelled the North American way as Mom. In Australia and New Zealand it is Mum. I have read other books where there are a mix of Australian and North American characters and the author switches between the differing spellings depending on which character is speaking. Not that hard.
