Tapas‪!‬

Spaniards are truly in their element when they're enjoying great appetizers with a glass of sherry while happily chatting with friends. This isn't about any old appetizer. No, this is about tapas: tasty, individual dishes that are served in countless variations throughout Spain's many tapas bars. 


Tapas are as important a part of the day in Spanish life as breakfast, lunch, siesta and dinner; in fact, possibly more so. However small or simple the tapas may be, they represent a certain attitude: a relaxed lifestyle, where time is made to enjoy tasty food in relaxed company.


This cookbook, with its many traditional but also astonishingly contemporary tapas dishes, is intended to meet the growing demand in creating a Spanish-style evening. It can be as simple as a couple of slices of chorizo and olives. Or something a little more complicated, such as prawns with romesco sauce. It all depends on what you want!
