Publisher Description
It is no exaggeration to say that Margaret Thatcher remade Britain in her own image. She deregulated industry, brought the unions to their knees, privatized state-owned enterprises, waged war to defend the Falkland Islands, and teamed up with Ronald Reagan to win the Cold War. Her courage was remarkable and her character larger than life. She was a woman who brooked no fools, and her tongue could be rapier sharp. Here is the inspiring story of Britain's first and only woman prime minister.

Americanisms and inaccuracies abound
The author keeps referring to coffee breaks. Trust me, these breaks were tea breaks.
British Navy. Nope. Royal Navy. Yes.
Apparently Thatcher raised “fees” what fees? Explain.
Ministry of Defense. Nope. Ministry of Defence. Yep. This is a proper and correct name. Not to be messed with by American spelling.
Prince Andrew was not, and has never been, second in line to the throne. He is the third child of the Queen and therefore, before marriages and progeny from these marriages moved him further down the pecking order, he was third in line to the throne. Princess Anne, now styled The Princess Royal, was the Queen’s second born and was therefore, at the time the author was writing about, was second in line to the throne.
Defense Secretary. Nope. Defence Secretary, when writing of the British one. Yes. This is a proper and correct title. Not to be messed with by American spelling.
The author keeps using the word “pounds” rather than using the £ symbol before the figure. Why?
What?! Margaret Thatcher, “created the National Health Service”. What?! A quick, cursory look almost anywhere would have shown the author that the NHS was established in 1948, under the post WWII Labour government of Clement Attlee.
The Community Charge, or Poll Tax, as it was widely known as, was based on the value of a property. Not the rental value of a property.
It is never the queen. It is always the Queen.
