Immerse yourself in The 6:20 Man, a heart-racing thriller with an incredible ending, set in the world of high finance in New York. From David Baldacci, the number one bestselling author of Memory Man.
It's time to catch a killer . . .
Having survived combat tours in Afghanistan and Iraq and been decorated with medals, Travis Devine leaves the army in mysterious circumstances, under a cloud of suspicion. And at thirty-two years old, he’s swapping fighting the Taliban and Al-Qaeda for a different kind of danger in the cut-throat world of high finance.
His daily commute on the 6:20 a.m. train into New York’s financial district, to his new job as an analyst at the powerhouse investment bank Cowl and Comely, takes him into a world where greed, power, jealousy and ambition result in the financial abuse of the masses and the enrichment of an elite few.
When a close friend of Devine’s is found dead, the mysterious circumstances surrounding her death at Cowl and Comely compel him to investigate further. As he digs deeper, he discovers strange coincidences and unnerving truths.
As the deaths pile up, and the major players show their hands, Travis must question who he can trust – and who he must fight . . .
The action continues in The Edge, the second Travis Devine thriller from David Baldacci.
APPLE BOOKS REVIEW
A troubled veteran is blackmailed into becoming a financial investigator in David Baldacci’s conspiracy-laced thriller. Former Army Ranger Travis Devine has left the military for a dreary job in finance. When the newly minted MBA’s co-worker and ex-girlfriend Sara Ewes dies, his tiresome routine is shattered—and he’s pulled into a high-stakes investigation of the firm where he hopes to make his fortune. With his usual skill, Baldacci makes the cutthroat world of Wall Street feel almost like a war zone. And watching Travis, a West Point grad, navigate such unfamiliar terrain in a suit and tie is both interesting and thrilling. As financial fraud gives way to international intrigue at the highest level, you’ll want to spend every waking moment reading The 6:20 Man.

Enjoyed this
Lots of twists and turns
Fun, unexpected twists, but A touch formulaic
This might be harsh, I enjoyed the book and I have bought the next in the series. So clearly not all bad!
The set up was fun and fast paced. The characters slight over egged, but entertaining.
However when moving to the end game, the story felt rushed. A touch too many twists. Still good fun, and perfect for by the pool.
