Publisher Description
I was nothing more than damaged goods being traded to pay a debt.
Marcus destroyed everything good inside me. Six years of torture. Six years of having my wolf suppressed. Six years of believing I was worthless.
Then Alpha Tyler Blackwood signed the contract that made me his.
I thought I was jumping from one cage into another. Tyler was supposed to be cold, ruthless, unfeeling. Everyone called him the Ice Alpha for a reason.
But when he looks at me, I don't see a monster. I see a man who's been waiting his whole life for someone to love.
When he touches me, my broken wolf stirs for the first time in years.
When he promises to protect me, I almost believe him.
Almost.
Because men like Tyler don't really want women like me. And when he discovers I can't shift, can't be the Luna his pack needs, he'll send me back to the hell I came from.
Won't he?
But Tyler has other plans...
He says I'm not broken. He says I'm perfect exactly as I am. He says he'll burn the world down before he lets anyone hurt me again.
Maybe it's time I stopped running from the woman I could become.
Maybe it's time I learned what happens when a caged wolf finally remembers how to bite back.
Some contracts are made to be broken.
Others are made to bind two souls together forever.
Customer Reviews
Inconsistency is key
Very inconsistent timelines and plot variations
Very repetitive with self reflection becomes hard to read
Had promise but fell short had to stop reading
So much promise but fell short
This book has so much potential however there is a significant amount of repetition particularly around reflection which detracts from the story. The words institutionalized and systematic have been used to many times and the timeline surrounding the Uncle and Aunty does not seem to flow.
Plot confused
Was really enjoying the story when the uncle that gave her away was suddenly dead. Betrayal within the pack that was building from 6 months was made to look like it was partially due to the Alpha marrying only a week ago?. Then it looks like the writer had two ideas re ending the Luna’s aunty/uncle but left them both in. I’ve stopped reading. It was getting repetitive. Disappointed as it started well.
