Loved it! My favourite part is the dual POV- although I did have to take off a star just because it was so beautifully cliche! If there was a way to put 4.5 stars I definitely would. Love u Elena! ❤️
The American roommate experiment
Follow up book to her first, The Spanish Love Deception (TSLD), and if you enjoyed that one you’ll like this one too.
This time we follow Rosie (best friend of Lina from TSLD) and Lucas (cousin of Lina) who is holidaying in America from Spain for a few weeks. Due to some roofing issues in her apartment and him staying in Linas apartment they end up in a bit of a forced proximity situation.
Lucas is sweet and caring as he tried to help Rosie break her writers block with a series of ‘experiment’ dates to get the creative juices flowing.
Like TSLD there isn’t really any spice until about 3/4 of the way through but there’s plenty of the angsty good stuff to keep you interested.
It was sweet and heartfelt and I enjoyed it a lot. They took care of each other without judgement and it was nice to see.
