The Archangel Legacy

Detective Ross Kincaid is a rough but effective investigator who has a tendency to bend the rules, which lands him in a conflict with the civilian internal complaints commission. He is restricted to a desk job for several weeks before his boss reluctantly assigns him to the murder investigation of a teenage girl. Meanwhile, Ricky, a young orphan who participates in a church outreach program, cares for Jeremiah, a centurion who is a surviving founding member of the home.
