Sets unrealistic expectations
As a first time mum reading this book whilst pregnant I thought it was fantastic and was giving me everything I needed to ensure I was a successful mum.
6 months on from giving birth and I now realise how unrealistic and dangerous some of this advice is.
Setting routines that will never work for a young baby (2 hour awake windows for 2 month olds) and telling mums that by 6 weeks old your baby is old enough to be weaned of all night feeds?!
I found the pregnancy information at the beginning helpful and relevant however, when reading about how to actually raise your baby I would not recommend this book in the slightest.
