    Simply crucial Batman history!

The Batman Chronicles does exactly what the book says it does and gives a by-the-issue collection of The Dark Knight’s early days in pulpy detail and in 1-1 reprinting of the same colour palette as the original releases.

This is easily one of the most important books in Batman’s history and shows how this iconic character would be reimagined many times for generations to come, honouring a character who was basically Sherlock Holmes mixed with Zorro and pulp magazine hard-boiled detectives of the 1930s.

And to think that Batman’s become an even bigger property than Superman, one of Bruce Wayne’s many sources for inspiration and ‘vibes’.

Over half a Century and Batman’s still giving kids everywhere inspiration to become a superhero like him, and embody the ultimate badass on a selfless quest to serve the greater good.

It’s simple but effective stuff, and that’s all Batman needs to have to his name. Not every superhero needs a multiverse or crossover to be an endearing figure for life; it’s simply fun seeing the creative evolution of iconic stories and their characters regardless of generational standards.
