Leon Ross is in love with his best friend, the beautiful Julie Russell, but he is too shy to tell her.  But Gavin Earl, the best player on the school’s football team is not shy to tell her that he loves her and want to date her. He dates her through high school and college. They all get a scholarship to go the same college.

Gavin and Julia’s love grow stronger in college and two weeks before finals they pledge their love to each other as they make love. In the meantime Leon leave for Japan, unhappy about the engagement of Julia and Leon. But in the final football match of Gavin’s career he collapses on the field and later dies at the hospital.
