The Brown Shoes History Project is proud to announce this limited edition book featuring the history of a very select group of Naval Aviators who earned their Gold Wings between 1946 and 1953. The Naval Aviators featured in this volume came from many different backgrounds with many different dreams. The one thing they had in common was the desire to fly. They earned their wings in spite of tough training and government cutbacks and became heroes in the air by providing support for those brave young men on the battlefield.
