The Choosing Ax

Raised on a resurrected Asgard, Paul has always dreamed of crossing the Rainbow Bridge to Earth. But when a mysterious threat makes the journey forbidden—and his father returns home gravely wounded—Paul vows to uncover the danger and seek justice. With his brave young friend Kyla by his side, he defies the rules and sets out for Earth.


To prepare for what lies ahead, Paul turns to Yggdrasil, the ancient life tree, and asks to see the future. The vision comes at a price: a sacrifice Paul must make when he is older. Armed with only fragmented glimpses of what is to come, Paul begins searching for the giant Igjen, while strange dreams of his father's mighty ax, Bjornen, haunt him. As a pulsing green energy and an enigmatic voice begin guiding his path, Paul realizes that the future may be far more dangerous—and far more changeable—than he imagined.


As Paul closes in on Igjen and his army of trolls, he must confront more than an enemy. He must decide which version of the future—and which version of himself—he is willing to embrace. To save his father and protect those he loves, Paul will have to trust unexpected allies, surrender to the mysterious energy, and find the courage to wield Bjornen himself. The greatest battle may not be against Igjen at all, but within Paul.
