Publisher Description
In the brilliant fourth book from Andy McDermott, Nina Wilde must battle the Covenant of Genesis if she is to find the world’s greatest archaeological treasure...
Off the coast of Indonesia, archaeologist Nina Wilde makes an explosive find: evidence of a settlement that existed over a hundred thousand years before any previously known civilisation. But when her ship is attacked, it becomes clear that the clandestine religious group calling itself the Covenant of Genesis will stop at nothing to prevent her from revealing this knowledge.
With her fiancé Eddie Chase, Nina embarks upon a dangerous worldwide search to expose the Covenant of Genesis – and the incredible secret they will kill to conceal.
PUBLISHERS WEEKLY
Archeological danger duo Nina Wilde and Eddie Chase, now engaged to be married, dodge bullets in pursuit of another fabled object in their fourth adventure (after 2010's The Secret of Excalibur). Nina isn't actually certain what she's looking for, but she knows the vastly powerful, resourceful, and mysterious consortium known as the Covenant of Genesis wants to destroy it, which provides incentive enough for her to disregard expense, ethics, and personal safety while pursuing it. She and Eddie escape marauding henchmen seeking to destroy their entire crew and all evidence of an ancient stone tablet they found in Indonesia, only to be attacked back at Nina's New York office. They immediately commence an intercontinental game of hunt and be hunted, cracking heads, wise, and the occasional Indiana Jones style whip amid plenty of action and gore.
