The performance of a radio play is the scene of a mysterious murder, and among the audience are Chief Detective-Inspector William Jamieson Read of Scotland Yard and his sleuthing comrade Jeffery Blackburn. In an unexpected twist, the radio studio where the crime is committed has become locked, turning the case into a true 'locked room' mystery.
