Publisher Description
The disappearance of 14-month-old toddler Jaidyn Leskie in Moe, Vitoria, in June 1967, while in the temporary care of his mother’s friend, was a parent’s worst nightmare. Greg Domaszewicz, who was minding little Jaidyn that night, told the police and the boy’s mother, Bilynda Williams, that he left the child ‘home alone’ in the middle of the night when he went out to collect Williams from a local hotel. The disappearance of Jaidyn, and the later discovery of his body in Blue Rock Dam, began a decade-long investigation into the child’s final hours. Domaszewicz was charged with murder, and although he was found not guilty of the crime, the Victorian State Coroner ruled in June 2006 that Jaidyn Leskie had died during the young man’s period of care and that Domaszewicz was involved in the disposal of the boy’s body.
