APPLE BOOKS REVIEW
Drawn upon Fiona McArthur’s years of experience working as a rural midwife, The Desert Midwife is an honest, touching portrayal of love and hardship in central Australia, described in vivid detail as severe, yet spellbinding. Midwife Ava meets Zac by chance on a plane to Alice Springs, quickly leading to romance–and tragedy. McArthur has a knack for funny, realistic dialogue, and her characters are equally charming and complex. The book also doesn’t shy away from exploring drought, depression and other harsh realities faced by families living and working in rural Australia.

Fabulous
Just loved Zac and Ava’s story.
Living in Australia I can just imagine the whole story. I haven’t had the chance to go the Red Centre but Fiona certainly took me there.
The harsh reality of the cattle stations as well as the out back communities.
