The Difference Between First Fruit Offering and Tithe

Most people do not know why God blesses Israel so much. It’s because giving is imbedded in their culture (habits, attitude, beliefs and customs).

In Exodus 23:14 when God says, “Do not appear before me empty-handed”, this is seen as a law to most of the Jews. Tithe was the foundation of all the festivals (Passover, the feast of the ingathering and the feast of harvest - first fruits). That’s why Israel owns most of the buildings in major cities of the world. The promise of Abraham from God is Real Estate.

In times of war it has been hard for most of the nations to defeat Israel because they are God’s first fruit. According to Jeremiah 2:3, Israel was holiness unto the Lord, and the firstfruits of his increase: all that devour him shall offend; evil shall come upon them, saith the Lord.

The Jews constitute but one percent of the human race yet the percentage of Jewish households with an income greater than $50,000 is double that of non-Jews. Forty-five percent of the top 40 of the Forbes 400 richest Americans are Jewish. Twenty percent of professors at leading universities are Jewish. Thirty percent of American Nobel prize winners in science and 25 percent of all American Nobel prize winners, are Jewish.
