The Roman Empire has just collapsed, and the Dark Ages are descending across Europe. It is the time when legends and myths are born. Some say Elves and Dwarfs lived alongside men and practiced magic and wizardry and other arts long forgotten. Dark Arts were also practiced by the evil powers that were spreading in the chaos and in the wake of the disintegrating social system.
