Tying up the lose ends.
A fitting follow up to the most excellent Hyperion. The 'Fall' continues on from the first book seamlessly and takes the story to new levels of apocalyptic wonder, ending the journey appropriately while still planting a couple of tiny seeds for the following two novels (which, by the way, are superb).
The fall of Hyperion review
This, and the first book, Hyperion, are as rich and layered as any of the best classics. IMO this stands side by side with Herbert, Asimov, Le Guin, Clarke, Heinlein etc..
