THE DRY LAND – Ellis Downs Station is located in Southwest Queensland near the Simpson Desert.  The Ellis family are trying to cope with a drought and when Tom goes to Brisbane his Aboriginal wife, Narla and 16 year old son Jake carry on checking water holes and saving cattle where they can.  When Narla fails to return home Jake sets out to search for her, a boy against the elements and fearing he won't find his mother in time.

OVERTHROW – A sentimental inclusion, the first story I ever sold in 1970.  When the Zanzibar government is overthrown, American millionaire Brady searches for Lisa Jarris in the hope they both might escape.

CHRISALIS – A romance moving from Sydney to Adelaide thanks to technology when Nathan tries to set up voice mail on his car phone.

OR LIGHT A PENNY CANDLE FROM A STAR – A fantasy following members of a hidden community who seek advice from an immortal when they are attacked by a war lord.

THE WATCHER – A black comedy that follows Horace and Lila who strive to find new beginnings when they steal $200,000 from the Minister for Defence.
