Great story

There is such an unusual almost lyrical cadence at the outset of this book. Longer rhythmic sentences and an unusual, intriguing and utterly admirable main character make for a captivating read.
I thoroughly enjoyed the unique depth of the protagonist, his thoughtful and dutiful personality was a fresh and inspiring break from the character of the modern hero.
And yet the very thing that made him exemplary was the cause of his own personal tragedy and deepest loss.
