The History of Britain in 50 Events

Just a taste

Trying to convey enough of 50 significant events in any history in around 50 pages would be difficult for anyone. This does an ok job of doing so. What absolutely lets it down in many places is the poor grammar, spelling and proofreading of dates. It will be outlining something from a particular year, say 1867, and in the next sentence refer to event that came as a consequence of this event but have the year as 1861 instead of, I assume, 1871. I know it’s free (thank you that), but some attention to detail goes a long way.
