Likeable MC, bad investigation
Opportunity for mystery and building of excitement lost. The writer kept explaining what would occur and why before the events. The characters would then go through their actions trying to discover what the reader already knows. Boring.
Classic tale of young mc discovering he has magic talent. The story should’ve focused more on him.
