The Inkwell presents: Necessary Fare
Publisher Description
This month, we broached an interesting challenge for our writers. Where did their characters NEED to go? So often, we let our inner voices go where they want to, but rarely do we force them to confront that which they shy away from or which needs doing. Of course, sometimes it's simply a higher power directing their course, but we don't talk about ourselves.
Because it's rare for anyone to reach what they need without help, a helpful cabbie is the courier for our selection of eight tales. Whether dropping unsuspecting fares off before they realize where they are or providing much-needed advice, these kind souls know more than they should about what is needed. And don't we all wish we had someone like that in our lives?
So, that leaves us with an important question to ask: Where do you need to go?
Impromptu Inspection - What does a guy need to do to get a bite to eat?
Grumpy Bastards - When family calls, you don't have much choice but to answer
Drive Forever - Some journeys are about the self more than anything else
A Christmas Journey - Yellow butterflies have a magic all their own
Saturday Morning Star - Even bunny rabbits need a little cheering up sometimes
The Bridge on 29th - A rainy night is never a good time for decisions
Off to Hell (#10) - Something has been missing from Wrath's life, and it's time to retrieve it
The Friends We Find - Tarbeak needs Rambler's help, but is the crow to be trusted
