really good reas
it is like taking a journey the ups and downs of the people in this book and Debbie must have had such a strong dedication to see her venture through, to teach women to be gainfully employed in a country that trys to keep women hidden. the book was very well written giving insight into how hard it is to live in a country at war,and the resillience of these people especially the women. thank you for sharing your experiences.
How much I learned from this book
I had never really given Afghanistan much thought other than to think it was the Taliban headquarters until I read this book. Although I knew the culture was completely different to the western world I didn't realize how much different for the women and how subservient their lives are. Deborah and her friends have done so much even for so few and it is a credit to them giving these women self confidence and skills.
Good read
This is a good book and easy read. Not overly intellectual but gives you an insight to the hardships of Afghanistan. Enjoyable.
