APPLE BOOKS REVIEW
Todd Hewitt lives in Prentisstown, a place where men’s choppy, inconsequential and violent thoughts create an unceasing Noise in the air and all the women have perished. This first book in the dystopian Chaos Walking series introduces the troubling legacy of New World—a planet of untamed natural beauty and astounding manmade horrors. The story thrusts its two young protagonists, Todd and Viola, into a desperate struggle to evade an army hell-bent on stripping them of their humanity. Transcending the genres of teen and science fiction, The Knife of Never Letting Go is a hauntingly well-written, nail-biting novel about a boy forced to question everything he’s been taught and find his own true north.
Customer Reviews
my favourite series
i don’t even know how to put it into words how much i love this series. when i first started reading this book i was slightly hesitant but when i kept reading i was amazed. i’ve read all the classic dystopian books (the hunger games, divergent, maze runner) but even though this is a dystopian book it’s nothing like the others and that’s only one thing i love about this series. everything about this is perfect, i laughed, i cried (too much) i couldn’t put it down. please read this series, you will be blown away!
Absolutely amazing
A truly unique and amazing story. I became so attached to all of the characters.
Absolutely brilliant
The first book in the Chaos Walking trilogy is an outstanding adventure novel with plenty of thrills and plenty of thought into the main character- a twelve year old boy trying to find his place in the world as a man. There's also an ambiguity to the novel that's really cool; that doesn't give too much away. The narration is simplistic, characterized and always entertaining. The whole series is brilliant.
