The Last Book in the World

It’s a year not too long from this one – sooner than you’d think – and a mysterious plague has destroyed most of Earth’s trees. As the print industry shudders into silence, a librarian named Jonathan Butter has been granted the opportunity of a lifetime: he is to write the last book in the world. But with the eyes of billions upon him, Jonathan has history’s worst case of writer’s block. Not even the girl of his dreams, a mysterious visitor named Johanna, can break it. When a demon named Koob offers him a remedy, Jonathan jumps for it. But Jonathan soon realizes that he’s been drawn into something more sinister. He finds himself trapped in the strange world behind the scenes of literature’s classics, and as his travels become more and more surreal, he must fight his way back to the real world.
