Heartbreaking
This was a story that will draw you in and hook you from the first chapter. I was invested in Ameline and Gabe and what an emotional roller coaster of a read The Lies About Forever was. As this is a duet, this book ends in a cliffhanger, so you have been warned and I am anxious to read the conclusion to their story. There are warnings for this book so please be aware as they may be a trigger to some.
I fell hard and fast for Gabe although I admit to moments where I wanted to smack some sense into him, but all in all I loved him. This was a well written story full of heart and soul. The angst was intense and there are several serious topics that were touched on and those were handled well. There were moments where my heart broke for both Ameline and Gabe and I hope that they get the happily ever after they both deserve.
Anxiously awaiting the conclusion in The Truth About Us.
This book touched me on so many levels
I have been waiting for Gabe Decker’s story for what seems like forever and once again Claudia Borgoa gave me a story that is going to stay with me long after the final word has been read. That being said The Lies About Forever is book one in a duet and it does end on the biggest cliff hanger so you have been warned. I’m not going to write a review full of spoilers because I believe you need to read this emotional, mysterious romance first hand without any preconceived ideas. This is medical student Gabe Decker and his roommates sister Ameline’s friends to lovers journey and it’s takes place over a few years through texts and visits but Gabe has always wanted more and when Ameline’s life falls apart he comes to her rescue…… How do you move on when lightning keeps targeting your heart? Why do people believe in forever when it’s just a lie? This is a beautifully written romance with wonderful characters and, it’s heartbreaking and emotional and it covers tragedy and death with compassion. I loved everything about this word of The Lies About Forever and I need book two like yesterday.
