Despite the harrowing subject, author Alice Sebold dwells more on the resilience and humanity of a community that’s left reeling after the murder of teenager Susie Salmon. Sebold captures the voice of her deceased narrator eerily well and offers a clear-eyed perspective on the ripple effects of violence. She also drives home a powerful message of hope.

Worth the read
It was a really sad book, but really touching. Even if you've never lost an immediate family member you can relate to the story line. It's a really easy read and a perfect length.
Lovely book
This book is amazing. It is beautifully written and amazing. Necessarily I would recommended this book to any one between the age of 10 and 80 years old. This is only because I am eleven.
