Nice reunion romance
I have been looking forward to this book since I read the first chapter in the SYTYCW competition years ago.
It didn’t disappoint. This is a reunion romance which is my jam.
Nearly six years ago, marine Riley Cooper spent his last night before shipping out with Meg McBride, the kid sister of his best friend.
Any idea of coming home to her was pushed away once he experienced war in Afghanistan.
Meg loved Riley forever and for a brief moment she had hope something might come of it. Until her letters telling him about the consequences of their night together were returned unopened.
Now Riley is back and Meg has to finally tell him what he should have known six years ago.
This is a nice little story set in a small town in Vermont. Meg has settled there with her daughter making a good life. The arrival of Riley threatens that future.
I really enjoyed it and the ending was satisfying. Also the daughter had an excellent name. ARC review supplied by the author.
