Publisher Description
A man is good for only one thing.
Dr. Marietta Dalrymple wants a baby, but all she wants from a man is his sperm. A professor of evolutionary biology, Marietta can explain away romantic love with scholarly theories of why men and women are compelled to copulate. Monogamy, she believes, is a state most males can’t achieve.
So what is Marietta to do after she mistakes Cash “Jax” Jackson for the carefully screened sperm donor she hired to impregnate her? Especially when Jax doesn’t know anything about the legal document the other man signed relinquishing all rights to the child.
Jax soon sets his sights on more than Marietta’s unborn baby. But can he prove to her that romantic love truly does exist? Or will the secret he’s keeping destroy any chance these unlikely lovers have at happiness?

The misconception
Catchy and fast moving story loved it really neat chick lit book
Fun characters, but I felt like a student!!
I enjoyed the originality of the main male character but felt far too long was spent sharing the lectures from the female protagonist. In the end I felt like a bored student and skipped ahead through many of those parts, and think I would have preferred to read a much shorter story without as much of that in it.
I enjoyed the secondary love story more - the characters and concept were certainly not as original, but it didn't have the boring lectures.
Feels good
This is the first book I have managed to read from beginning to end in ten years! Thank you for giving me something I couldn't get enough of that gave me some me time!
