The Modern Odyssey

The Modern Odyssey is a recollection of the memories of a girl. Lass is a simple girl from the border areas of India’s terrorist prone state, Jammu and Kashmir. Simple is not a suitable adjective for her. She was not Draupadi, a figure of Hindu mythology, but her fate was similar to hers. 


This woman possessed the indestructible will of Draupadi and never gave up. She was married five times but why is it only her fifth husband that was chosen by her? Why did she have to leave the idylls of her village, be dragged through a terrorist encampment and find refuge on foreign shores? This is a tale of intrigue, mystery, deceit and, above all, perseverance.
