City Of Ash: The Mortal Instruments.
I absolutely loved this book! Absolutely! 10 out of 10! Valentine is such a mixed up character, and Jace is as self-centred as usual, and Magnus is such a cool character. I think this book was better than the prequel!

Love this series, 5 stars.
A wonderful escape from reality!!!!!!
I'm not a typical Cassandra Claire groupie, I'm a 52 year old happily married woman with secondary breast cancer. I discovered this series around 2 years ago by chance when I was going through a difficult phase of my treatment. I've always been an avid reader however, after reading reams of cancer related information I just couldn't find the motivation to read for pleasure for quite some time. Until... my beautiful husband bought me a mini iPad to play with to while away the time waiting for appointments or just sitting at home.
I then happened along the iBooks feature and decided it was time to read something I could lose myself in. I read the first series and was so sad to get to the last book that I then read the Clockwork series and so on and was thrilled when I discovered Cassandra's new short series The Dark Artifices which was so enjoyable I decided to re-read the Mortal Instruments. Cassandra Claire's ability to transport her readers to a different world filled with complex believable characters has reignited my passion for reading and given me a place to retreat to when everything else around me is all so real and at times a little frightening. So, thank you for your gift of words that I can escape into anytime of the day or night wherever I may be. Your books are a godsend, pretty appropriate really given the storylines :)
