Nowhere Girl
Hi Nicole,
I think from my perspective having been a survivor of abuse and domestic violence it is very hard to leave. All of what you have portrayed here hits home. It may have been different for me if I had kids but in the end it’s still about power. Victor had it. The women fought for it back. Not all are so lucky. We as a nation need to fight this, to bring out this scourge in to the daylight. Like you are doing with your wonderful books. For when we hide the darkness wins. In the shadows is where those who harm live.
Thankyou for shining a light on this.
It starts with teaching our community to not accept this, to tech our boys violence against women and children will never be tolerated. We need to change the laws to reflect this. We need change. It starts with words. So Thankyou. From all of us who have survived and fought with courage and for those like maggy who didn’t make it out.
The Nowhere Girl
I absolutely loved this book! I couldn’t put it down! It is so sensitively written, and so real. The feelings experienced by Alice and Molly around their children and pregnancies were just so true and so so sad.
Thank you for wonderful book! I have now read all three books - loved them all but this was the best.
