The OSM Mystery

One of the players in the Orchestre symphonique de Montréal is murdered at the intermission of a concert. Suspicion soon falls on the conductor of the orchestra, who is the first Indigenous Music Director of the symphony. Two detectives, one a mild-mannered historian, the other a tough-as-nails woman raised in the slums of Montreal, are in charge of the case.

The investigation leads them to contact the police in Toronto, Detroit, and Winnipeg and on a Mohawk Reserve, as they follow in the footsteps of a serial killer who murders and rapes women. All of the victims, one Irish, one French Canadian, one African American, and three Indigenous women have only one thing in common: they were all musicians connected with the Indigenous conductor of the orchestra. Is he a harmless musical genius or a serial killer?
