Customer Reviews
Gripping
“She loves you…She loves you not…”
A dark and gripping read, The Other Girlfriend is a complex psychological thriller where a toxic relationship boarding on obsession is at its core and where manipulation is to used to prey on one’s vulnerabilities.
Stone creates a tense atmosphere that is heighten throughout the more the story progresses. Alternating from a now and then format, the narration is told mainly from our lead Lizzie’s POV and how events from the past shape the person she has become in the present.
The characters are well formed and a mix of likeable and unlikable. Each play their role well and evoke many different emotions. The secrets, lies and deceit keep things interesting and kept me flicking the pages well into the night. All up I found this to be a good read.
