Trigger warning - repeated scenes of self-harm
This was a good story and for the most part I enjoyed the writing style. I acknowledge and appreciate the importance of highlighting mental health issues through literature but I would probably not have read it knowing there would be repeated scenes of self-harm throughout. I read this genre for lighthearted entertainment.
It was a solid story and I liked the characters. The intimate scenes were few and far between and barely descriptive.
I respect the author for tackling such a sensitive subject. It’s just not for me.
Do not recommend
The cutting is disturbing. Too much.
Good story line
The story line was great
I prefer stories with less detail about sexual activity, so was disappointed with explicitness of their marriage bed
