Loved it!
“Best friend or boyfriend. Who would you believe?…”
Wowsers, this was such a thrilling read that still has my head spinning! I do love these types of stories and this one certainly did not disappoint.
Where we are spoiled for choice with stories in this vain, I did find Smith’s spin on it to be very well done, taking it to another level. The friendship between Zara and Ivy was complex and very co-dependent and when Henry came into the picture, this is when things got interesting and the story really kicked off.
The characters were well crafted and believable, each playing their role well. There was plenty of lies and deceit, each outdoing the last and just when I thought I had it all figured out, Smith swept in and pulled the rug out from underneath me!
This is a well written piece of work that flowed well and kept me engaged. I enjoyed Smith’s style and witty dialogue, that provided comic relief on some of the more darker moments. Ivy had some cracking lines that had me laughing out loud many times.
Deviously wicked and twisted, The Perfect Match is a great entertaining read and I look forward to reading many more books from the author.
