The PHEV Factbook

Written in an easily accessible style, the PHEV Factbook by Anne and Alan James is designed to provide detailed information about the practicalities, costs and benefits of owning a Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV).  With more manufacturers now bringing both Pure EVs and PHEVs to market, and with their performance increasing all the time, electric motoring is becoming a genuinely viable option for many people.  


However, when we were buying our own PHEV, we found there was very little factual information available to enable us to make a well-informed purchase decision.  Having now selected, financed, owned and driven a PHEV for an extended period,  we decided to write the PHEV Factbook to make such information available to other people considering a PHEV, or indeed a fully electric car.


Readers will find trip-by-trip data on battery driving range, fuel consumption, finance costs and electric vehicle incentives and tax breaks, which can save thousands off the price of the car.  There's also plenty of information on the day-to-day practicalities of driving and charging up a plug-in car, which would be of interest to anybody considering a pure EV too.
